In 2013 UK Games Expo - the UK's largest Hobby Game Convention - moves to our new venue. The NEC Hilton Metropole offers us more space, hundreds of hotel rooms and excellent transport links by road, rail and air. It is close to the M6, M42 and M40.

Unrivaled Trade Fair

UK Games Expo has a huge trade fair with 90 traders selling 
Board Games, Cards Games, Roleplaying products, Miniatures, 
Arts, Books and a host of gaming related products. Make sure you take lots of pocket money!

Tournaments & Championships

This year we have more Tournaments than ever before. These include 11 Board Game Tournaments including the UK Settlers of Catan Championship (win a trip to the World Final in Germany).

Card games this year are a Netrunner Tournament and Blood Bowl Team Manager.

9 Miniatures tournaments include our annual 2 day Warmachines masters, a 2 day Warhammer 40 K event and Warhammer Epic, FOW and FOG, Dust Tactics and the first UK Xwing championship with the chance to win a trip to the USA to play in the World Final.

Newest games & releases

A large number of traders will have demo tables in their stands, many will be new or recent releases. There are more demo games and wargames to try outside the Kings Suite, between the Swimming Pool and the Pavilion and also the playtest prototypestables in the Arden suite Don’t be shy- just walk up and ask to play.

Family Zone

Lots for the kids to do With a huge number of new games and 
old for young players and not so young the Family zone is there to 
entertain you. Kids – why not also try out the Children's Roleplayingor get your faces painted.


Massive Roleplaying Schedule

This year we have a capacity of up to 41 roleplaying Games at any 
time. We will have over 150 choices of games on eight sessions over three days. We must have an RPG game for you!. Just don’t split the party! Full Schedule here



We are always delighted to welcome the great and good in the games industry. They will be helping out in the seminars 
but all are always willing to chat about the world of games.

Costumed Groups

The Cosplay groups are part of the fun of UKGE. With Daleks, 
Storm troopers, Dr Who and his companions and lots of 
monsters we hope you enjoy the entertainment. The Cosplay 
groups are always willing to have photos taken. They will 
be collecting for their chosen charities during Expo. More details here.


Seminars & Talks

A popular part of UKGE is the seminar schedule. Ask questions 
of the Game Designer, find out about how to go about designing 
and publishing games or find out how to publish your own books! 
The seminars go on during Trade hours on Saturday and Sunday in 
the Arden Room. There is no charge just turn up. Schedule ishere



New for 2013 we will be converting the Arden suite into 
a cinema on Saturday evening.We will show two or three movies – one at starting around 7.30pm . Details of WHICH films TBC at the show BUT what we can tell you is we plan to have a 2012 Blockbuster movie, a Geeky Movie and maybe a Fan made short.

There is No charge.

Capacity is 200 seats.


Open Gaming

There are no charges for these areas. You just sit down, find a friend and a game and get playing. Not got any games? – Well there is a huge trade hall you know. But we also have a board game Library. Full details here.


Bring and Buy

Part of the Westminster Suite will be the Bring and Buy. Maybe you 
have old games you want to sell or are looking for a bargain. This 
is the place to go. Will you find that bargain you are searching for 
amongst the treasures on sale?

Expo Awards

UKGE hosts awards to praise the best new games. You the public 
can vote on the awards. Don’t forgot to collect your voting form 
on arrival and get those votes in by 2pm on Sunday. We announce 
the Awards at 3pm on Sunday in the Family zone. Full details
