THRUSTMASTER AND PROJECT CARS: A CLOSE COLLABORATION AND A FIRST SERIES OF RACING WHEELS IMPLEMENTED IN THE PS4, XBOX ONE AND PC VERSIONS OF THE GAME!
Rennes, July 15, 2014 — When Slightly Mad Studios' Project CARS is released, Thrustmaster's racing wheels will be implemented and ready for use. Racing simulation enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a
breathtaking experience at a new level of realism in this highly anticipated release.
For a heightened experience:
Thrustmaster's and Slightly Mad Studios' development teams have collaborated closely to offer the first users of Project CARS an unrivalled experience: to drive perfectly-rendered supercars using
precise, high-performance and ultra-realistic racing wheels, for truly exceptional sensations! "We made a point of being the first to offer this incredible experience in Project CARS. This release offers
uncompromising realism, and the opportunity to contribute our 20 years of experience in the field of gaming fully supports our commitment to the racing simulation community," states Gilles Raulet,
Thrustmaster Development and Production Director. Ged Keaveney, Technical Director at Slightly Mad Studios, comments: "This collaboration with Thrustmaster perfectly reflects the philosophy of
the entire Project CARS development project - to offer fans the very best controllers combined with flawless realism."
Driven by the same passion:
Thrustmaster and Slightly Mad Studios had already worked together on multiple occasions throughout the development of Project CARS, during a series of Hot Lap competitions. These
competitions gave the companies' teams the opportunity to confirm their joint passion for the world of racing, down to the smallest details. This convergence of opinions was then naturally enriched
with a series of technical developments, such as the implementation of Thrustmaster racing wheels* for the launch of Project CARS. This will enable users to enjoy heightened in-game sensations, but also
to improve their lap times around each track.
*The following Thrustmaster racing wheels will be supported at Project CARS launch:
