Guardians of Middle-earth Gloin DLC

Gamers can now download and play as the war-hardened dwarf, Glóin in Guardians of Middle-earth on Xbox LIVE Arcade. This new Guardian character will release for PlayStation Network soon.

As one of the 12 dwarves who accompanied Thorin Oakenshield to reclaim Erebor and father of Gimli, Glóin joins the epic character roster in Guardians of Middle-earth, with Season Pass holders set to receive two more Guardians in the coming months, and more to come as well.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions also released new character art, bio, and ability details about playing as Glóin, whose abilities include using fire to attack enemies and stunning foes with a swift blow of his mighty axe.

Also, for a limited time PlayStation Plus members can download Guardians of Middle-earth for free between Feb. 4 through March 4, 2013.

In  Guardians of Middle-earth, gamers team up as the most powerful heroes from the greatest fantasy epic of all time, bringing up to 10 players together in a competitive multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game.  Featuring select characters from the film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the game allows players to develop and master more than 20 iconic characters. Play as Gandalf, Gollum, Legolas, Sauron and more, forming memorable and unlikely alliances with and against friends. Gamers can connect with other players via an in-game voice communication system, as well as access to a comprehensive online stat and leader board system where they can track friends’ victories and defeats, and more. Now available at select retail stores and via download for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network.

Guardians of Middle-earth Announces Playable Radagast

Today gamers can download and play as the wizard Radagast in Guardians of Middle-earth on Xbox LIVE Arcade! This new Guardian character will release for PlayStation Network soon.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions also released new character art, bio, ability details and a new video about playing as Radagast, which gives a sneak peek into his enchanter abilities that deal significant ability damage and help support his team members by withstanding special enemy attacks. In addition, Guardians of Middle-earth players will be able to compete in "The One Road" challenge this weekend, where gamers will compete for the "Most Wins on a One-Lane Map" from Feb. 1 through Feb. 3 to win 500 XP, 20,000 Gold, and three Mithril level items.

Radagast marks the next epic addition to player rosters in Guardians of Middle-earth, with Season Pass holders set to receive three more battle-hardened Guardians in the coming months, and more to come as well. Players will also get a chance to sink their swords and hammers into the new Survival mode very soon!

 

Guardians of Middle-earth Character Reveal

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released a new Battle Profile gameplay video for Guardians of Middle-earth. The Battle Profile features the father of Thorin Oakenshield, Thrain II, who was exiled from the Lonely Mountain by the dragon Smaug. A powerful warrior, Thrain is able to hold his ground against a great number of foes. Also showcased is Gothmog, a ruthless, confident and fearless lieutenant of the armies of the Witch-king, who has the endurance to fight the enemy and bring their structures to siege under his harsh command.

MOBA Pros Feedback Implemented into Guardians of Middle-earth

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the second Behind the Scenes video for Guardians of Middle-earth, chronicling several multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) pros reaction once their suggestions are integrated overnight into the MOBA on-console experience at Monolith Productions.  In their first encounter with Guardians of Middle-earth, MOBA pros provided initial feedback and recommendations, which are captured in the first Behind the Scenes video.

Interactive Entertainment today has released news of Guardians of Middle-earth, the highly-anticipated MOBA title being developed exclusively for consoles and set to release this fall. There is available a video that features some of the legendary guardians including Gandalf, Gollum and Sauron entering the battle front, showing off some of their lore-based skills and abilities in an attempt to conquer the other team’s fortress.
