How Do Players Find Your Game?
Discovery is a tricky formula in the mobile games space. Its is easy to find games, but is it easy for players to find your game? We decided that it was time we asked the players about what they do to find games and what attracts motivates them to play. So we asked 1800 games mobile players about how they found games and what influenced their decision to download and play. This survey also looks at what drives retention, viral growth and of course to spend money - assuming that they choose to do so. We also looked their decisions to share using games services; including of course video of their gameplay.
Building from Jussi Laakkonen's recent presentation of this survey at GDC, Oscar will look at the steps that developers can take to ensure that they can make sure that the next game players find will be yours.
