GOD DOESN'T ROLL DICE
BUT HE BETTER LEARN HOW TO
Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, creator of Lejendary Journeys and the ill-fated Cyborg Commando has died at the age of 69 in his Milwaukee home. Like many role-players I found that meeting and speaking with Gary was like speaking with an old friend, even if you had just met him. He was comfortable with people and always had time to listen to player's stories about their 87th level half-elf or their excitement at reaching level 10 with their Dwarven cleric. Gary was a gamer's gamer and now he has departed this universe, failing his saving roll against death, but resurrected above ready to teach God the fundamentals of playing games and rolling dice "just for the noise they make". Gary will be sadly missed but his memory will remain with us forever through his games. If there is a gamer's Hall of Fame his legacy will be the prize exhibit. Thank you Gary for opening our eyes and changing the monotony of Monopoloy into a world of fantasy and adventure, fun and entertainment. We salute you.
